LRV adalah ukuran persentase cahaya tampak yang dipantulkan oleh suatu permukaan, yang diukur berdasarkan sensitivitas mata manusia.<\/p>\n<p>LRV berkisar antara 0 hingga 100. Nilai 100 menunjukkan reflektansi absolut, sedangkan 0 menunjukkan tidak adanya reflektansi atau penyerapan cahaya total. LRV digunakan untuk menentukan dan mengontrol kontras antara berbagai material, perlengkapan, perlengkapan, dan permukaan dalam lingkungan binaan.<\/p>\n<p>Beberapa peraturan dan kode praktik saat ini seperti BS 8300:2009 dan BS8493:2008+A1:2010 menetapkan nilai CIE Y sebagai metode tunggal yang konsisten. Didefinisikan bahwa kontras visual akan mencukupi jika LRV permukaan yang kontras, dengan pencahayaan lebih besar dari 200 lux, berbeda minimal 20 poin.
