Penyakit yang umum terjadi antara lain hawar daun, bercak daun, dan antraknosa, yang semuanya disebabkan oleh jamur colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Penyakit ini dimulai dengan daun muda yang menunjukkan gejala memudar atau bintik-bintik kecil berwarna kuning muda seiring pertumbuhan jamur. Seiring waktu, tepi bagian yang terkena berubah menjadi coklat dengan bagian tengahnya kering dan rapuh.
