Jangan disalahartikan sebagai suhu aktual (panas) yang dipancarkan dari sumber cahaya apa pun.<\/p>\n<p>*Lokus benda hitam atau lokus Planckian adalah garis lintasan yang akan diambil oleh warna benda hitam pijar dalam diagram kromatisitas CIE 1931 saat suhu berubah\/bergeser. Dimulai dari kemerahan pada suhu rendah hingga jingga, putih kekuningan, putih, dan putih kebiruan pada suhu tinggi.<\/p>\n<p>Istilah suhu warna hanya digunakan untuk mengukur warna sumber cahaya yang berhubungan erat dengan radiasi lokus benda hitam, misalnya, suhu warna di atas 6.000K disebut warna dingin (putih kebiruan), sedangkan suhu warna yang lebih rendah (1.500\u20133.500 K) disebut warna hangat (warna kemerahan hingga putih kekuningan). Suhu warna tidak cocok digunakan untuk cahaya hijau atau cahaya ungu karena warna-warna ini tidak termasuk dalam lokus benda hitam. Suhu warna merupakan faktor penting untuk aplikasi seperti pencahayaan, fotografi, videografi, dan bidang lain yang melibatkan pencahayaan.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Misalnya matahari, saat matahari melintasi langit dari pagi hingga sore hari, warna sinar matahari tampak berbeda. Bisa berwarna merah, oranye, kuning atau putih tergantung posisinya. Sinar matahari berubah warna pada waktu yang berbeda-beda dalam satu hari, hal ini disebabkan oleh hamburan cahaya, dan bukan karena perubahan radiasi benda hitam.
