Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman sangat dipengaruhi oleh kuantitas dan kualitas cahaya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuantitas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lux dan lumen adalah satuan fotometrik dan digunakan untuk mengukur intensitas dan jumlah total cahaya tampak yang dipancarkan oleh sumber cahaya. Satuan ini digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat cahaya maksimum dan kehilangan transmisi cahaya di dalam rumah kaca.<\/p>\n<p>Gambar 1 menunjukkan respons mata manusia terhadap panjang gelombang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.konicaminolta.com\/instruments\/knowledge\/light\/concepts\/13.html\">cahaya tampak yang berbeda (400nm hingga 700nm)<\/a>, sementara Gambar 2 menunjukkan respons fotosintesis tanaman, yang diatur oleh Radiasi Aktif Fotosintesis (PAR) (PAR adalah rentang panjang gelombang yang dapat digunakan tanaman dalam proses fotosintesis). Kualitas cahaya terutama dirasakan oleh reseptor cahaya ini.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.asia\/id\/product\/chlorophyll-meter-spad-502plus\/\">Klorofil<\/a> merupakan fotoreseptor terpenting selama fotosintesis, sedangkan fitokrom, kriptokrom, dan fototropin merupakan fotoreseptor terpenting selama fotomorfogenesis. Fitokrom bertanggung jawab atas cahaya merah; kriptokrom mengenali cahaya biru, hijau, dan UV-A; sedangkan fototropin mengenali cahaya biru.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LED sebagai lampu tambahan untuk rumah kaca<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sebelum LED dengan spektrum tertentu tersedia, mencari tahu panjang gelombang optimal yang dibutuhkan tanaman untuk fotosintesis merupakan sebuah tantangan. Sumber cahaya tradisional seperti logam halida atau lampu natrium bertekanan tinggi memerlukan filter yang tidak efisien bagi ahli hortikultura untuk mempelajari pengaruh spektrum yang berbeda pada tanaman.
