Perbedaan warna ini disebabkan oleh kekurangan dalam CIE 1931 2\u00b0 Standard Observer Color Matching Functions (CMF) yang meremehkan sensitivitas penglihatan manusia di wilayah biru dan merah dalam spektrum tampak.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelumnya, karena terbatasnya penggunaan pemancar pita sempit di industri layar, penerapan CMF 1931 untuk kuantifikasi warna layar tetap tidak berubah meskipun masalah tersebut telah didokumentasikan dengan baik.
