KONICA MINOLTA CM-SA2 SKIN ANALYSIS SOFTWARE
Bridging Science and Beauty – Quantitative Analysis of Skin Color, Melanin, and Hemoglobin.
Singapore, 1 August 2025
Konica Minolta Sensing Singapore is thrilled to announce the regional launch of the CM-SA2 skin analysis software, following the recent announcement from Konica Minolta, Inc.
The new CM-SA2 skin analysis software enables precise evaluation and analysis of skin color, melanin, and hemoglobin and is designed to work seamlessly with Konica Minolta spectrophotometers. Building on the success of its predecessor, the CM-SA, it introduces enhanced features that deliver exceptional value to the health and beauty industry, including cosmetics and skincare, dermatology, nutraceuticals/supplements, and pharmaceuticals.

With the CM-SA2, users can simultaneously measure skin color, Melanin Index, and Hemoglobin (Hb) Index, delivering critical metrics for assessing and monitoring skin health. It enables precise diagnosis and tracking of skin conditions, supports the development and efficacy testing of skincare or anti-aging products, and helps customize solutions based on individual skin needs. Additionally, it plays a key role in evaluating the impact of nutraceuticals and supplements on skin tone and circulation and provides valuable data for clinical trials and aesthetic treatments.

The CM-SA2 also features ITA° (Individual Typology Angle), an index that classifies skin color into different levels. For streamlined data management, the CM-SA2 enables customization to view multiple indices simultaneously, including measurement conditions. Ease of use further extends to the software’s compatibility with the CM-17d spectrophotometer, which allows for efficient positioning and image saving of measurement points via an electronic viewfinder.
