KONICA MINOLTA ILLUMINANCE SPECTROPHOTOMETER CL-700A
Advanced, High-Speed, Multi-Point Light Measurement for Diverse Industrial Applications
Singapore, 4 February 2026
Following the global announcement by Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta), Konica Minolta Sensing Singapore is pleased to announce the regional availability of the new Illuminance Spectrophotometer CL-700A.

Building on the proven capabilities of the widely used Illuminance Spectrophotometer CL-500A, the new CL-700A strengthens measurement performance to meet evolving evaluation needs. Along with extending capability into the near-infrared (NIR) range (up to 1,000 nm), the CL-700A offers a wider illuminance measurement range and improved speed at very low light levels, enabling greater flexibility and efficiency across a broader set of applications, including AR/VR device development and other NIR (LED)-based applications.
Enabling New Evaluation Needs—from Visible to Near-Infrared
The CL-700A expands optical measurement capabilities beyond the visible spectrum by covering wavelengths from 360 nm up to 1,000 nm, allowing evaluation of both visible and near-infrared light. This extended range supports testing of light sources and systems that utilize NIR emissions, including LEDs and specialized applications relevant to advanced sensing and illumination.
Wide Range for Diverse Applications
Despite its advanced measurement capabilities, the CL-700A features a compact and lightweight design that suits both handheld operation and installation in automated test setups or production lines. This flexibility allows it to be used for routine lab work as well as incorporated into inspection and measurement workflows.

Illuminance Range |
Applications |
| Low illuminance range:
0.01–9.9 lx |
|
| Intermediate illuminance range: 10–9,999 lx |
|
| High illuminance range:
10,000–200,000 lx |
|
High-Speed Performance in Low-Light Conditions
The CL-700A delivers improved measurement efficiency under dim conditions, with the ability to measure as low as 0.01 lx in approximately 5 sec. using its standard mode. It also offers “Super FAST” and “FAST” modes for rapid data capture, increasing testing throughput.
Scaling Up with Multi-Point Measurement
To support spatial evaluation needs, the CL-700A enables simultaneous multi-point measurement with up to fifteen units, allowing comprehensive analysis of illuminance distribution across larger areas or multiple points in a single test setup.
Compact Design for Flexible Deployment
Despite its advanced measurement capabilities, the CL-700A is built in a compact, lightweight form that suits both handheld operation and installation in automated test setups or production lines. This flexibility allows it to be used for routine work as well as incorporated into inspection and measurement workflows.
