Illuminance Spectrophotometer CL-700A
The Illuminance Spectrophotometer CL-700A combines Konica Minolta’s expertise in optical measurement with high performance to provide a reliable solution for evaluating light with accuracy and speed. Designed for users who require both spectral accuracy and practical operation, the CL-700A measures a wide range of optical properties, including illuminance, chromaticity, correlated color temperature (CCT), and spectral power distribution, as well as color quality metrics such as Color Rendering Index (CRI). This comprehensive capability supports applications ranging from basic brightness and color checks to detailed spectral analysis for quality control and research & development.
The CL-700A supports a wide illuminance measurement range from 0.01 lx to 200,000 lx, making it adaptable to many measurement applications. It delivers stable illuminance measurements from very low light levels to high-brightness conditions, enabling consistent evaluation of lighting performance in both dim and high-output settings. The spectral measurement range of this light measurement instrument extends from visible light into the near-infrared region, up to 1,000 nm, supporting modern lighting technologies and applications that go beyond the visible spectrum, including NIR LEDs and optical systems used in sensing workflows.
Measurement accuracy and speed are key design priorities of the CL-700A. Even under low illuminance conditions, the instrument delivers stable, repeatable results in a short measurement time—measuring down to 0.01 lx in approximately 5 seconds, with a Super FAST mode that enables measurements in as little as 0.3 seconds. This high-speed performance improves efficiency in laboratory testing and production environments, helping shorten evaluation cycles, reduce waiting time, and support higher throughput for quality assurance and development.
For applications that require evaluation of light distribution over a wider area, the CL-700A supports multi-point measurement configurations. Multiple units can be operated simultaneously to capture synchronized measurement data at different locations, allowing users to efficiently assess illuminance uniformity and spatial light distribution without repositioning the instrument multiple times.
Despite its advanced performance, the CL-700A features a compact and versatile design. It can be used as a handheld instrument or easily integrated into fixed measurement stations and automated production lines. Flexible connectivity options and the dedicated CL-S30 measurement software enhance usability by enabling intuitive operation, real-time data visualization, and efficient data management, supporting smooth integration into existing measurement workflows.
