KONICA MINOLTA SPECTROPHOTOMETER CM-3700A PLUS
Engineered for Accuracy and Reliability, Trusted for Quality.
Singapore, 5 February 2025
Following the announcement from Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta), Konica Minolta Sensing Singapore is excited to introduce our regional launch of the new flagship benchtop Spectrophotometer CM-3700A Plus.
As the successor of the highly regarded Spectrophotometer CM-3700A, this new model sets a new standard in multifunctionality, precision, and reliability for color measurement. The Spectrophotometer CM-3700A Plus embodies Konica Minolta’s commitment to quality control across various industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, cosmetics, paint and coatings, plastics, building materials, and textiles. Offering multiple new features, including a camera viewfinder, sample thermometer, humidity meter, etc., the CM-3700A Plus brings rigorous color management to the next level.
Superior Measurement Accuracy
The Spectrophotometer CM-3700A Plus enhances accuracy with an impressive inter-instrument agreement (IIA) of ΔE*ab 0.08 or less, ensuring consistent measurement across multiple devices or locations. Furthermore, it delivers good measurement repeatability, even for challenging colors like black. Compatible with data from its predecessor, the CM-3700A, this upgraded model allows seamless integration of existing measurement records, ensuring a smooth transition without disruption. Built using stainless steel polychromator housing, the CM-3700A Plus is engineered to withstand temperature fluctuations and long-term use, offering reliable performance and durability over time.

Improved Functionality and Usability
The CM-3700A Plus introduces a camera viewfinder feature that allows precise positioning of measurement objects directly from your PC monitor*1, with the added capability to save images alongside measurement data. With the ability to measure Specular Component Included (SCI) and Specular Component Excluded (SCE) simultaneously, the CM-3700A Plus significantly reduces measurement time, nearly cutting it in half compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the instrument comes equipped with an environmental thermo-hygrometer and a sample thermometer, allowing users to monitor and record temperature, humidity, and sample surface temperature alongside color measurements. The CM-3700A Plus also features a spacious transmittance chamber and built-in accessory storage for enhanced usability.

Reliable Performance
Manufactured in Japan, the CM-3700A Plus is built under a stringent quality control system to ensure reliable, consistent performance. Furthermore, it is also equipped with a Wavelength Analysis & Adjustment (WAA)*2 function that checks and automatically corrects any wavelength shifts caused by fluctuations in ambient temperature or other external factors, ensuring reliable performance until the next annual calibration.
*2 The WAA function is available free of charge for the first year after purchase and can be continued in the second year and beyond by having the instrument serviced and calibrated.
