Display Color Analyzer CA-527 / CA-510
The Konica Minolta Display Color Analyzer CA-500 Series comprises two models:
- Display Color Analyzer CA-527 (Ø27 mm measurement area)
- Display Color Analyzer CA-510 (Ø10 mm measurement area)
Both models are high-performance instruments designed for precise evaluation of luminance, chromaticity, and flicker in today’s most advanced display technologies. Optimized for OLED, micro-LED, and HDR panels, they deliver enhanced low-luminance sensitivity, reliable high-brightness performance, and measurement stability needed for both R&D and production environments.
With a newly designed optical system and improved measurement range, the CA-500 Series supports critical tasks such as near-black assessment, wide color gamut evaluation, and flicker evaluation, enabling users to validate and fine-tune modern display characteristics with confidence.
Expanded Accuracy Guaranteed Luminance and Chromaticity Range
Modern displays demand a wider measurement range—especially at ultra-low luminance (near-black) and high luminance (HDR peak brightness). The CA-500 Series expands the accuracy guaranteed dynamic range, enabling more reliable luminance and chromaticity evaluation for displays with higher contrast ratios and wider color gamut, such as OLED and micro-LED.
CA-527 (Ø27 mm measurement area):
Luminance: 0.0001 to 10,000 cd/m²
Chromaticity: 0.001 to 10,000 cd/m²
CA-510 (Ø10 mm measurement area):
Luminance: 0.0002 to 20,000 cd/m²
Chromaticity: 0.002 to 20,000 cd/m²
Faster Low Luminance Measurements to Improve Takt Time
The CA-500 Series features a newly designed optical system that significantly reduces measurement time at low luminance compared with conventional models, boosting productivity on display manufacturing lines and enabling faster evaluation cycles in modern display R&D.
Guaranteed Luminance Measurement Time*

Waveform Evaluation for Complex Emission Behavior
The CA-500 Series offers the capability to measure lower-luminance regions with a higher sampling rate. This improved feature enables it to capture the emission waveforms of displays more accurately, especially with advancements in display technologies such as OLED screens moving towards higher contrast ratios or the latest micro-LED displays using dynamic drive systems.

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) Flicker Measurement
The Display Color Analyzer CA-500 Series supports the latest Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) flicker measurement, along with established evaluation methods such as JEITA, VESA, and Flicker Modulation Amplitude (FMA). This comprehensive set of flicker measurement techniques enables reliable analysis of modern displays designed for advanced video performance and energy-efficient operation, making it ideal for both display development and professional testing applications.

*1: Measured under Konica Minolta’s standard light source (6,500 K).
*2: Luminance for monochrome is measured when reading of luminance for white is 100 cd/m2.
*3: Temperature 23°C/± 2°C, relative humidity 40 % ± 10 %
*4: In NTSC [DOUBLE FRAME] synchronization mode using USB with one probe. Measured using a Konica Minolta-designated PC (with PC and probe directly connected, using the supplied measurement software).
*5: Reading fluctuation (compared to reference reading at 23°C, 40 % RH): Luminance: ± 2% for white; Chromaticity (at 100 cd/m2): ± 0.002 for white, ± 0.003 for monochrome
*6: “Flicker” and “XYZ” are mode names for PC Software CA-S40.
*7: Measured under Konica Minolta’s standard light source (constant light). If the luminance momentarily greatly exceeds the upper limit, such as with a PWM light source with a small duty cycle, luminances below the upper limit may be shown as too high.
*8: The listed values are for use with CA-S40 or CA-SDK2.
