Specim SX25
Materials that look alike can respond differently in the short-wave infrared region. These spectral differences can reveal information about composition, moisture, coatings, minerals, and other properties that conventional color imaging may not reveal.
The Specim SX25 is a line-scan SWIR hyperspectral camera covering 960–2500 nm. It combines 640 spatial pixels, 392 selectable spectral bands, and 7.7 nm typical mean spectral resolution for detailed material mapping and chemical analysis. Applications include coating inspection, mineral classification, agricultural and food-quality analysis, pharmaceutical research, moisture measurement, and cultural heritage conservation.

Detailed and Flexible SWIR Imaging
The SX25 records a spectrum at each position along the imaging line, creating a hyperspectral dataset as the sample moves relative to the camera. Multiple regions of interest allow users to select application-relevant spectral bands.
A maximum SNR of 1500:1 and a dynamic range of 73 dB support measurements involving subtle spectral differences.
Corrected and Consistent Data
Built-in nonuniformity correction (NUC), bad-pixel replacement (BPR), Automatic Image Enhancement (AIE), and dark-level stabilization reduce preprocessing requirements. Unified spectral calibration supports consistent wavelength information between SX25 camera units.
Lens Options and System Integration
Fore lens options include 22°, 38°, and 66° fields of view, plus a macro lens for close-up measurements. The default front objective provides a 38° field of view.
With a maximum frame rate of 162 fps and a GigE Vision/Ethernet interface, the SX25 can be incorporated into compatible laboratory, research, and industrial imaging systems.
