The Specim FX series consists of three models: the Specim FX10, Specim FX17, and Specim FX50. These highly reliable hyperspectral cameras cover wavelengths from visible and near-infrared (VNIR) to Medium Wavelength Infrared (MWIR). They are suitable for both laboratory and high-speed industrial machine vision applications due to their high frame rate, robust design, and ease of integration.

Specim FX Series Hyperspectral Camera

The Specim FX series features three high-speed and versatile hyperspectral cameras suitable for various laboratory and industrial applications, including machine vision and optical sorting applications. Based on the line scanning (pushbroom) technique, the Specim FX series hyperspectral cameras are able to provide non-contact, non-destructive measurement, offering reliable classification results based on the targets’ physical or chemical composition. The high frame rate of the Specim FX series hyperspectral cameras enables them to meet the industrial applications’ high-speed demand. Their robust design and small footprint allow flexible installation, even on existing machine vision systems/sorting systems.

The Specim FX Series hyperspectral cameras comprised the following three models, the Specim FX10, the Specim FX17, and the Specim FX50.

The Specim FX10 hyperspectral camera measures the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) spectral region between 400 to 1000 nm and is suitable for laboratory and industrial applications like:

• Vegetation & agriculture, including phenotyping

• Food quality and safety

• Color & density in printing

• Display & light source inspection

The Specim FX17 hyperspectral camera collects hyperspectral data within the near-infrared (NIR) spectral region of 900 to 1700 nm. It is best suited for various laboratory and industrial applications such as:

• Food & feed quality and safety

• Recycling and waste sorting

• Moisture measurement

The Specim FX50 hyperspectral camera measures the Medium Wavelength Infrared (MWIR) spectral region between 2.7 to 5.3 μm and is ideal for industrial applications like black plastic sorting, metal, geology and mining.
